Meixin Red Wine Town is located on the west bank of Lixiangxi River in Linshi Town, Fuling District, Chongqing. Situated within the Meixin Urban-Rural Integration Demonstration Zone, it is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction characterized by the integration of Chinese and Western cultures. It is also the only "waterfront" national AAAA-level scenic spot along the Yangtze River in Fuling District, the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Leveraging the ecological resources of the Yangtze River and Lixiangxi River, the scenic area features attractions such as a mountain amusement park, an European-style street, and a vast ecological grapevine grove, forming a comprehensive "land-air-water" sightseeing system. With unique facilities like the world's first cable car loop line and the "Rural Revitalization Eye" Ferris wheel, it has developed a complete industrial chain encompassing wine grape cultivation, wine production, and tourism.
The scenic area was originally a theme park that opened in 2008 and was rated as a National 3A-level tourist attraction in 2019. Starting in 2020, it implemented a free admission policy for medical workers nationwide. In 2022, it was designated as a Chongqing Smart Tourism Rural Demonstration Site and completed the construction of the world's first cableway loop. After upgrading to a National 4A-level scenic area in 2024, it added the "Eye of Rural Revitalization" Ferris wheel, nearly 800 meters above sea level, and was recognized as the "Chongqing-Sichuan Nighttime Landmark" in 2025, adopting a "Five Nighttime Economy" model. Through the transformation of industrial workshops, the area established employment support facilities, launched a rural revitalization market, and developed a distinctive path integrating agriculture, commerce, culture, and tourism. It was also selected as an exemplary case in the national "Ten Thousand Enterprises Revitalize Ten Thousand Villages" initiative and one of the top ten outstanding projects in the "2024 Chongqing Beautiful Rural Areas" program
